Who we are
AskAnalytics ("we", "us") provides session recording and AI analysis for paid ad traffic. This policy explains what data we handle, in two roles: as a controller of the data of our own customers and website visitors, and as a processor of session data our customers collect from their websites using our service. Questions go to hello@askanalytics.io.
Data we collect as a controller
- Account data — your email address and workspace settings, used to sign you in (via magic link) and send you your digests.
- Billing data — subscription and usage records. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never touch our servers.
- Site usage — we use our own recorder and analytics on askanalytics.io, under the same rules described below.
Data we process for customers
When a customer installs our snippet, we record sessions of visitors who arrive at the customer's site from paid ads: page structure, scrolling, clicks, form interactions, and technical context such as browser and device type. The recorder sets no cookies and does not track visitors across other sites.
This session data belongs to the customer. We process it only to provide the service — producing replays, AI-generated audits, and digests — and do not sell it or use it for advertising. Customers are responsible for ensuring their own use of session recording complies with the laws that apply to their sites and for informing their visitors as required.
Where data lives
The service runs on Cloudflare's global network, with customer session data stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure. Session recordings are retained for as long as the customer's plan provides, and are deleted when a customer deletes a site or closes their account.
Sharing
We share data only with the subprocessors needed to run the service — infrastructure (Cloudflare), payments, email delivery, and AI model providers used to analyse session transcripts. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@askanalytics.io. If you are a visitor to a site that uses AskAnalytics, direct requests to that site's operator — as the controller of that data, they can instruct us to act on it.
Changes
When this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify customers by email.
